Tamil Nadu Technology Transfer Facilitation Centre (TNTTFC) by Tamil Nadu Technology (iTNT) Hub ignites a culture of transforming breakthrough research into market-ready solutions, empowering researchers, startups, and industries to co-create the future.

Funded under the Tamil Nadu Innovation Initiatives (TANII) of the State Planning Commission (SPC) , TNTTFC is bridging the gap between research and commercialisation by strengthening the IP ecosystems and fostering deep collaborations.

Inaugurated by Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology & Digital Services, on 17th July 2025, in the presence of Dr. J. Jeyaranjan, Executive Vice-Chairman, SPC, the centre functions at iTNT Hub, Anna University Campus, Chennai.

Tamil Nadu is the national leader in filing patents with a mammoth 12,948 ordinary applications filed in 2021-23. iTNT Hub’s Joint Innovation Gateway for Synergistic Startup - Academic - Industry - Investor Work (JIGSAW), a first-of-its-kind digital innovation platform fostering Industry - Academia collaborations by tapping the knowledge wealth in over 550 engineering colleges in the State.

Launched by the Thiru. Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, in February 2024, JIGSAW focuses on DeepTech research and facilitates technology transfer, among other prospective collaborations between researchers and other stakeholders by promoting research on real-world problem solving and commercialization.

The 1st Innovate In Tamil Nadu (IN2TN) IP Conclave was announced by Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Hon’ble Minister for IT&DS, in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in June 2024. Fostering Industry-Academia collaborations, the conclave themed “Intellectual Powerhouse: Transforming Tamil Nadu into the Innovation Capital of India” was hosted by iTNT Hub on July 30, 2025.

Thiru. Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, inaugurated the conclave, marked by Tech Transfers, Tech Showcase by patent holders, Masterclasses by WIPO, and MoUs with American Society of Mechanical Engineers India; National Research Development Corporation; Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Bangalore; Bosch; Mahindra & Mahindra; and Indian Science Technology & Engineering facilities Map.
